Our weapon of choice
For the serious mileage we are going to attempt, we need a serious car and the Vauxhall Cavalier V6 is a serious pimp cruiser.
Our beast is a 1984 2.5 litre model with electric goodies and lowered suspension. Sourced from an online forum, the beast did cost, as per the rules, the maximum of £100.
First things first - insurance. All done with slight twitching of the eye and a lump missing from my bank account,
but Admiral did me a good deal so won't complain. Well, not too much anyway.
Second on the list is new brakes all round, mend and repair several other niggling bits like CV joints and suspension rubber. See below for the monthly progress report and the Gallery for pictures of the car.
